Long-term vacancy is low in Beechwood and Emma, where 8% of homes sit empty and off the market. However, the vacancy rate rose slightly over the last decade, while it fell in other neighborhoods in Monroe County.

Self-employment rates are high in Beechwood and Emma. Approximately 7% of workers work for themselves. But this rate fell during the last decade, while in other neighborhoods in Monroe County barely moved.
